As I've mentioned (possibly several hundred times), I write novels outside my work as a Melbourne copywriter. Writing books is a labour of love — it takes years, often, from conception to the final draft.
Writing for me involves getting up at 5 am to stare at my laptop or wedging paragraphs in-between my day job and family/life commitments. I’ve written hundreds of drafts, had countless rejections, and shed oceans of tears in the process. But there’s also been unadulterated joy, writerly camaraderie, AND the odd win …
For these reasons, I’m so thrilled my first young adult novel is being published with the excellent MidnightSun Publishing and will be in bookstores in April 2024! The book owes its life to all the kind and generous people who agreed to be interviewed for it, who read and assessed it, and who believed in it and me.
