Curriculum writer for the ABC program: Crazy Fun Park
Title: Teaching resources
Client: Australian Children’s Television Foundation
Recently I had the great pleasure of developing the teaching resources for the ABC’s Crazy Fun Park with the Australian Children’s Television Foundation.
Chester and Mapplethorpe are inseparable until tragedy strikes at Crazy Fun Park — an abandoned theme park on the outskirts of their small town, Asphodel Heights. After Mapplethorpe's untimely death, Chester’s plunged into grief. However, his world shifts when he discovers Mapplethorpe, along with other the undead teens who also met their ends there, still ‘live’ at the park. Lonely, Chester begins making nightly visits to the park, embarking on adventures with his friend and the other inhabitants, leading to bizarre and sometimes comical outcomes.
The program was awarded with the 2023 Logie Award for Most Outstanding Children’s Program — beating Bluey at the Logies!
